What types of memberships do you have?
Getting started with Memberships at River Valley Club is simple—and designed to fit your lifestyle.
The Club offers flexible options so you can choose what works best for you:
- 12-month memberships that transition to convenient month-to-month billing after your first year
- Month-to-month memberships with no long-term contract, giving you complete flexibility
- Specialized add-ons, including CrossFit, to elevate your training
Membership categories include:
- Individual memberships with discounted groups
- Corporate memberships through participating employers
- Dartmouth Health and Dartmouth College employees are eligible for D-Perks memberships
Every membership includes full access to the Club’s fitness floor, pools, racquet sports, and a wide variety of group fitness classes—all within a supportive, high-energy community.

Is there an initiation fee?
Yes—most memberships include a one-time initiation fee that unlocks introductory programs at every department at the Club.
- Standard memberships include a $99 initiation fee
- DPerks members (Dartmouth Health and Dartmouth College employees) receive a reduced initiation fee as part of their benefit
- Limited-time promotions may offer special savings or waived fees

Is there a contract?
Full, Discount and Corporate memberships memberships include an initial 12-month commitment and transition to month-to-month billing afterward. Month-to-month memberships with no long-term contract.What is included with my membership?
Members receive access to fitness facilities, pools, group exercise classes, tennis and pickleball courts, wellness amenities, and a Welcome Packet valued at more than $1,500. Some specialty programs may require additional fees.
What is the Membership Welcome Packet?
The Welcome Packet includes introductory programs, assessments, guest passes, lessons, and discounts designed to help new members meet the pros and quickly experience all areas of the Club.

How large is the fitness floor?
The Fitness Floor includes more than 10,000 square feet of strength and cardio equipment, stretching areas, turf lanes, and open workout space.How many group exercise classes are offered?
More than 80 classes each week are included with membership. Programs include yoga, Pilates, cycling, Les Mills classes, barre, dance, aquatics, and more.Does the club have swimming pools?

Upper Valley CrossFit operates on the RVC campus and can be added to membership for unlimited classes and access.Do you have a climbing wall?
Yes. The club features a 30-foot climbing wall with more than 30 routes ranging from beginner to advanced difficulty.Families & Youth Programs.
Do you offer youth programming?
Yes. Junior Tennis clinics, camps, and lessons are available throughout the year.At what age do memberships start?
Memberships at River Valley Club begin at age 14.
- Ages 14–15 must be accompanied by an adult while in the Club
- Ages 16+ may use the Club independently
Are day passes available?

The Fitness Floor & Training Zones
- The Main Gym: A massive 10,000-square-foot open-concept space packed with heavy-duty free weights, custom lifting platforms, and pin-selected weight machines.
- Cardio Deck: Train on an assortment of modern treadmills, stair masters, ellipticals, stationary bikes, and rowing machines.
- The Turf: Dedicated indoor athletic turf lanes used for heavy sled pushes, speed and balance drills, and functional agility training.
- The Stretch Zone: Members can now book Stretching & Flexibility Sessions.
Aquatics Center
- Indoor Saltwater Pool: A heated, low-chlorine saltwater therapy pool designed for gentle lap swimming, water aerobics, and joint-friendly exercise.
- Outdoor Resort Pool: A large, open-air pool open during warmer months, surrounded by a landscaped summer garden, lounge chairs, and sun decks.
- AquaMotion Pools: Three specialized, temperature-controlled pods featuring adjustable water currents. Perfect for resistance walking, distance swimming, and physical therapy.
- Recovery Zone: Includes a dedicated cold-plunge tank to reduce muscle inflammation, plus high-heat dry saunas and steam rooms in the locker areas.
- Hot Tubs: Hot tubs are located in the men's and women's locker rooms and provide a soothing escape for stress relief and recovery.
Group Fitness & Specialty Studios
- Studio 1: Our most popular space equipped with steps, free weights, bands, balls, barres, and an elevated stage for the instructor to show you the way.
- Studio 2: A quiet, temperature-controlled environment designed specifically for yoga, hot yoga, stretching, Pilates, and meditation classes.
- Pilates Reformer Studio: Develop your core, strength, and balance with 8 Merrithew Reformers, and a suite of Cadillacs, Barrels, and more in an elegant, quiet space.
- Spinning Studio: A tiered, high-energy studio featuring premium stationary spin bikes, club-level sound systems, and immersive lighting.
- Personal Training Studio: The Personal Training Studio is fully equipped for private, independent workouts. Featuring cardio machines and free weights, members can reserve the Personal Training Studio through Member Services to get a full workout without the crowds.
Racquet Sports Complex
- Indoor Courts: Premium DecoTurf cushioned courts that are climate-controlled for year-round tennis and pickleball play.
- Outdoor Courts: Multi-use courts equipped with high-intensity sports lighting for evening matches.
- Capacity: The facility layout seamlessly adjusts to hold either 4 full-sized tennis matches or 8 pickleball games simultaneously.
CrossFit Box & Indoor Climbing Wall
- CrossFit Box: Located on the lower level, our 5,000-square-foot Upper Valley CrossFit Box delivers an intense, community-driven training atmosphere built around functional fitness.
- State-of-the-Art Equipment: The facility is fully outfitted with a premium Infinity rig, Olympic lifting platforms, bumper plates, training bars, climbing ropes, plyo boxes, and an artificial turf track for speed and sled work.
- Cardio & Conditioning: Features elite training machines including Concept2 rowers, air runners, stationary bikes, and SkiErgs
- Flexible Access: We host over 20+ coached group classes weekly (Monday–Saturday) with workouts scalable for any experience level. Dedicated Open Gym zones remain available for independent training during standard operating hours. (WOD) into the open air.
- Outdoor Training Deck: Offers a hybrid indoor/outdoor workout space, fully covered from the elements, allowing athletes to bring their Workout of the Day
- Climbing Wall: Located inside the spacious Upper Valley CrossFit Box, our 30-foot indoor climbing wall features simulated New Hampshire granite engineered for all progression levels.
- The Routes: Explore up to 30 unique, rotating climbing routes ranging from beginner-friendly 5.5 to advanced 5.11 difficulty ratings.
- Technical Training: Features a hand-sculpted, off-width crack system designed to challenge your technical movement and grip strength.
- Member Perks: Open bouldering is permitted up to 4 feet during standard operating hours, with complimentary gear and staff-led belay hours

- RVC Spa & Salon: A full-service, on-site oasis offering cut's and color, deep-tissue massages, customized facials, manicures and pedicures
- FITshop & Café: A retail storefront selling workout gear, supplements, and apparel, sitting right next to a café serving post-workout protein shakes, and healthy snacks.
- FitKids Childcare: A NH licensed, secure childcare center for infants through Pre-K. Partnership programs with RVC include swimming and tennis lessons.
