Welcome to Spinning at RVC! Ten amazing instructors combine to teach over twelve classes per week in our dedicated Spinning studio. Seasoned cyclists enjoy off-road training with us and fitness enthusiasts take it to the next level with our 50 minute noontime rides or 60-90 minute evening and weekend rides.

Spinning®: Spinning is an indoor endurance workout on a stationary bike, training bodies and minds to simulate riding on the road. Each instructor will bring a different experience of raceday, endurance, strength and recovery as particpants make rewarding, carlorie burning journeys in one hour, 90-minute Mondays, or lunchtime 50-minute rides. Participants at any fitness are welcome but please come early to your first class to receive a brief orientation and bike adjustments and settings from the instructor. Our Schwinn spinners are equipped with SPD and Look pedals or clips. All participants should bring a water bottle and towel.  A heart rate monitor is not required but is strongly suggested.

New Classes!

Introduction to Spinning - This is a beginner level class for those individuals that are new or returning to the sport. It is a 45 minute class that will consist of a 10 minute introduction on bike set-up and proper form, followed by a 35 minute moderately challenging ride. Classes will be held the first Saturday of every month from 9:30-10:15AM.

Swim and Spin – Swim and spin is a brand new addition to our group exercise class schedule starting in October. The class starts in the lap pool with a 45 minute swim. A quick transition is then made to the spinning studio for a 45 minute ride. A total of 90 minutes (and FREE), this class is for the tri-athlete or fitness enthusiast looking to cross train or simply get an incredible workout!

I am a clinical research scientist at Norris Cotton Cancer Center. Each and every day, I witness the unfortunate consequences of unhealthy lifestyle choices. I believe that an active and healthy lifestyle is the major foundation for every individual’s happiness and longevity. Therefore, the River Valley Club has become a major part of my life. I do not JUST instruct a class at the River Valley Club. It is my passion for health and fitness, along with my determination to help fight debilitating diseases such as cancer and heart disease, among others, that drives me at full speed into the classes at RVC.  It is my goal to ensure the members achieve their health and fitness goals. It is my mission to make sure they come back EVERY DAY. It is my hope to help others change an unhealthy choice, however big or small, each and every day. I am also an amateur NATURAL body builder; I am fascinated by the power we have to transform our mind and body. You have the power, you make the choice, we are here to help.
